Brentwood’s 6-12 community recently came together for a special advisory pep assembly to celebrate senior football player Demeterius Thompson, who officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play Division I football at Boston College.

The gym was filled with Eagle pride as students and staff cheered Thompson on as he took the next step in his academic and athletic journey — continuing as an Eagle from Brentwood to Boston College.

A four-star prospect and standout three-sport athlete, Thompson has built an impressive high school career through hard work, discipline and leadership. His signing marked a proud moment for the entire Brentwood community and highlighted the support surrounding student achievement at all levels.

"This brings eyes to Brentwood and to smaller schools," Thompson said. "I hope it helps other students believe that with enough work ethic, determination and drive, they can achieve their goals. To represent Brentwood High School in this way means a lot to me."
